Your home will probably be the largest investment you will ever make, as well as a place to make memories as you raise your family. We believe a place of such importance should be well taken care of. Prior to moving into your house, we will perform a walk-through of your house demonstrating and describing how everything works as well as give the homeowner a chance to denote any discrepancies that need to be repaired. After your home closing, we want you to know that you are not on your own, and that we have a warranty program to address any defects that may arise. In conjunction with 2-10 HBW, your home warranty will work as follows:
- 1 Year Workmanship Warranty. This warranty will cover defects in materials and workmanship, as clearly defined to construction standards
- 2 Year Systems Warranty. This warranty will cover defects in the distribution of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems for a full two years.
- 10 Year Structural Warranty. This warranty will cover designated load bearing elements of the home caused by failure that affects their load bearing function to the extent that the home becomes unsafe.
During your first year of homeownership, we like to address any non-emergency related issues 30-days after move-in, and then again at 11 months after move-in. Emergency issues will always be addressed immediately. We kindly ask that any non-emergency issues be submitted to us in writing.
